We would like to give advance warning to our customers of expected disruption to the market over the next few months.

Following discussions with Truro City Council representatives, we have been informed that impending redevelopment of one of the stores on Lemon Quay – soon to be home to Primark – will affect the space available to market traders.

The work will last 12 months beginning in May.

We are hoping to trade relatively normally through most of that period, finding solutions as we go depending on what space is available each week. This means that some weeks the market may take a different format or occupy an alternative space on Lemon Quay – for example outside Hall for Cornwall. However we will still be offering shoppers a great selection of local, seasonal food and arts and crafts.

We are hoping that our regular customers will continue to support the market, and that new shoppers will find us and enjoy a local produce market in the heart of the city.

In the meantime we are sorry to say that we will not be accepting any applications for new traders in Truro for 12 months. This is because we have to prioritise current traders with the possibility of limited space. However we are hoping to use this as an opportunity to grow our weekly market in Falmouth. Any traders interested in joining us there are welcome to apply. For Falmouth applications, or if you have any questions or comments please email nigel@cornishcuisine.co.uk.
