Held every Wednesday and Saturday
on Truro's Lemon Quay
9am - 4pm
You are invited to a fun family day out on Monday 29th August at The Cornish Mill and Bakehouse – Truro Farmers Market’s long-standing bakers.
The Cornish Mill and Bakehouse is a flourishing enterprise based at Newlyn East, near Newquay. David Buscombe and his extensive family, which includes three working generations, oversee the milling of flour from the family farm, which is used to produce a huge range of sweet and savoury products on-site.
This includes artisan breads, Cornish pasties, cakes, biscuits and slices – all of which are made fresh in the morning and sold at market the same day.
On Bank Holiday Monday the farm will be throwing open its doors for tours of the mill house and bakery (a converted milking parlour). The open day offers a chance to see where the magic happens, and to meet the family behind this successful farm diversification project.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a free cream tea to complete the experience.
The Cornish Mill and Bakehouse can be found at Trescowthink Farm, St Newlyn East, Newquay, TR8 5NS. The farm will be open to visitors on the 29th, 10am – 4pm.
