The Big Produce Market – Latest

A wealth of Cornish culinary talent will be on display at this summer’s Big Produce Market running from Friday 29th to Saturday 30th August. In the free to enter chef’s tent, some of the county’s top chef’s will be demonstrating to the public how to turn delicious local produce into stunning dishes right in front of their eyes.

Over the two day celebration of Cornish food and drink the diversity of cooking talent found in the Duchy will be showcased; from a foraging instructor at the nationally renown 7th Rise to the head chef of the prestigious Mullion Cove Hotel Restaurant, Fiona Were. Local talent will also be represented by Ben Quinn, the resident events chef at Nancarrow Farm, Truro. Joe Lado from the Gwel an Mor Resort, Portreath; Richard Musgrave of Downright Delicious; Lee Groves from the Turks Head Inn, Penzance and Stephen Marsh from the Greenbank Hotel, Falmouth make up high profile billing.

Alongside the Chef’s tent will be around 50 Cornish Producers selling some of the county’s most exciting and delicious local produce from rarebreed pork and wild game to gourmet marshmellows, homemade preserves and freshly baked bread as well as locally made beers, wines, ciders and mead. And with live music and artisan street food also available each day the Big Produce Market will have a real festival feel, celebrating the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the best that Cornwall has to offer.

The market will be open on both days from 9.00am to 4.00pm. Good access, disabled facilities and dogs welcome.
