Everyone at Truro Farmers’ Market is incredibly proud to celebrate a huge achievement for our longstanding traders, Kelnan Plants, who have just been awarded their 14th consecutive Gold Medal at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show.
Run by Chris and Faye Osborne, Kelnan Plants have been a much-loved part of the market for many years, sharing their incredible knowledge and passion for plants with customers week after week.
This year’s award-winning exhibit showcased a stunning collection of South African Restios, underplanted with a variety of other plants native to South Africa. Restios are striking evergreen, grass-like plants known for their sculptural appearance and architectural beauty.
Remarkably, the display still achieved top marks despite suffering damage from a fox shortly before judging took place — making the achievement even more impressive.
Winning one Gold Medal at Chelsea is an extraordinary accomplishment. Winning 14 in a row is simply outstanding, and a true testament to the dedication, expertise and passion Chris and Faye bring to their work.
