Held every Wednesday and Saturday
on Truro's Lemon Quay and
every Tuesday on the Moor in Falmouth
At Treway Farm near the village of Grampound, Kate and Will Martin rear award-winning bronze turkeys and pedigree short horn cattle. It’s an idyllic spot with 300 acres of rolling hills, lush meadows and sheltered valleys.
The turkeys arrive as day-old chicks every June, and are allowed to roam freely – slowly reaching their finishing weight just in time for Christmas. The short horn cattle are grass fed for slow, natural growth, resulting in fine marbling in the meat and a delicious deep flavour.
Kate and Will believe that traditional farming methods, natural diets and high animal welfare are an ethical imperative and result in a much better end-product.
You will find Treway Farm at market every Saturday, where Kate and Will often have their children, Charlie and Flora, in-tow!
